Buying or Selling a property is the single largest investment most Americans make.  As a Licensed Real Estate Agent since 2005, I have had the wonderful opportunity of helping buyers and sellers pursue their dreams of homeownership and moving on to the next stage of their life with the successful sale of their current properties. There are so many things to consider when you buy or sell a property that it is crucial to have an experienced professional guide you through the process.

So if you're thinking about buying or selling, the following are things that should be considered...

  •  Fiduciary Duty: Real Estate agents are obligated to protect  and serve the best interests of their client.
  • Privacy and Confidentiality: It's an agent's duty to keep certain information  private and confidential. When buying or selling on your own, private parties do not have a duty to keep information confidential and there is little control over what information  is shared and with whom.
  • The Paperwork: There's a lot of it. Real Estate Professionals know what type of documents need to be with each type of transaction. More importantly understanding the legality of the paperwork, so that as you the buyer or seller, can make an informed educated decision.
  • Safety and Security: If you're selling your house by owner, you often have to give unknown people access to your home and be there to greet potential buyers.
  • Price Guidance: A Professional that accurately knows the market.
  • Navigating the Waters: Let's be realistic. With the complicated home buying process, things sometimes go awry. What happens if you find out the neighbor's fence is over the property line? Or the well doesn't pass inspection? Or the house doesn't appraise  at the purchase price? Or the furnace fails between purchase and closing day?  What do you do? Sometimes these issues (and many more) arise. A real estate agent will assess the situation, lay out your options and help you arrive at a resolution that is in your best interest.
  • Negotiation skills: There's more than one way to cook an egg. Real Estate Agents know lots of ways to write contracts to ensure they meet their client's best interest, are competitive and appealing, and to work through (or around) issues that may arise. There is more than price to consider when buying  or selling, and your Real Estate Agent is skilled in helping you negotiate a deal that you feel confident about.

In todays market more than ever,  you need guidance from a Real Estate Professional that contains the knowledge and education to help you make appropriate decisions, so as not to affect you for years to come. With over 17 years in Real Estate and 13 years in the Banking Industry you can be assured that you are in good hands. I also know and understand the stress that comes with buying and selling of properties as I have bought and sold properties of my own.
